I've been working as a photojournalist for the Wichita Eagle for the past 12 years. Any major news event, sporting championship or natural disaster that's happened in Kansas in the last decade, chances are I've been there.
I've also traveled extensively in the Middle East and elsewhere for McClatchy's Washington Bureau. Some of those stops include Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Albania and Afghanistan. In addition, I've covered two hurricanes on the United States gulf coast.
Video storytelling has been my passion of late, though the truth is, I'm just a sap for a good story. In December of 2009 I completed work on my first full-length documentary, "The Miracle of Father Kapaun." You can watch it on this site by clicking on the gallery titled "The Kapaun Project."
